Through Kalo Restoration we begin to recover our community, engaging in cultural traditions, through the historical knowledge of our elders. Our History presents the ancient and fundamental Hawaiian values and traditions associated with empowering individuals who seek the understanding of Hawaiian beliefs and lifestyles of old.

Many of our students, community leaders, and members depend on these traditions to secure our future food systems.

The importance of traditional farming will sustain our rural community, while empowering the next generation to live in harmony with

‘aina and our identity as the people of Hawai’i.
